Dear Baby,

This is my second post for you. I haven't kept up with this blog as much as I would have liked to over the past few weeks, but that just means I have more to tell you now! I think about writing these entries all the time, but I never make myself get around to it.

So let's go all the way back to September and start from there. On September 28th, 2013 your daddy and I got married in Blue Ridge. We were married in a tiny loft inside a tiny little cabin in Blue Ridge! The name of the place was Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals. So far, (since we haven't had you yet!), it was the happiest day of our lives. Your daddy cried as he said his vows and then when we shared our cupcakes, he shoved it in my face and up my nose! He is so silly. I hope he stills acts this goofy once you're all grown so you will get to witness what I deal with! :p I'm sure by the time you're big enough to understand, we will have gotten around to printing out the pictures (but who knows, we are bad procrastinators!).

On October 17th, 2013 we finally got to see you! I was 13 weeks pregnant and that is when we had our first ultrasound appointment. Your daddy got to see you first because of how the monitor was positioned, and he was telling me about how you were doing flips and floating all over the place in there! You were also sucking your thumb and we got a few good pictures of you. I think that is the moment it really hit your daddy that you were in there. He talks to you all the time and rubs my belly and says, "Little baby, what are you doing in there?". I can already tell he loves you so much. Words can't even begin to describe the love I feel for you already.

Two days later on October 19th, 2013 we headed up to Blue Ridge with your daddy's best friend Chris. Your daddy's mom (he still hasn't picked out her grandparent name yet!) had told us that she bought us a car. We got up there and she had bought us a Jeep Grand Cherokee! Your daddy's face lit up at the thought of having his own car again. He had to do some nifty fixing on it just so we could drive it home, but he did it. Your daddy loves tinkering with stuff and he can fix just about anything! That's one thing I love about him. I'm sure he will be that way forever.

We still don't know if you're going to be a little boy or a little girl, but we will find out on December 11th! We're planning on having a gender reveal party the following Saturday (December 14th), but we will see! I've been feeling you make little movements for the past 2 weeks. You move around a lot at night when your daddy and me are laying down for bed and he rubs on my belly and talks to you. I think you like the sound of his voice :) You also move around when we're in the car and we ride over bumps. I can't wait until I start feeling your movements really well. Right now it just feels like a little fish in my tummy lol. Your daddy gets so upset when he tries to put his hand on my belly to feel you but he can't.

You're making me gain weight now and it's making me really happy! I was starting to think you weren't going to get any bigger and I wasn't going to have a fat baby like I want :) Today I wore maternity pants for the first time and they were tight around my belly! You're going to be a big baby I'm sure. Everyone in your daddy's family is tall and big! I hope you get that gene if you're a boy.

Well little baby, I'm going to head to sleep. It's been a long past few days for your daddy and me! He is snoozing on the couch next to me and if I don't move him to the bed soon his back will be hurting in the morning! We love you so so so much.
